Bento #11–Pork

I decided to go with something a little less sandwich-y for this bento:  about 3 ounces of leftover slow-cooked pork with black beans, tomato, and yellow rice underneath and what looks like a huge dollop of the lime crema on top.  In the pink portion, roasted beets, and my favorite mozzarella and grape tomatoes on little picks.  Dessert was a 4-oz cup of vanilla yogurt with ground flaxseeds.

    • It’s a deeper, sweeter flavor, not as vegetal or dull as when they’re steamed, though I enjoy them steamed too. Roasted beets taste a little like corn on the cob to me. I’m not sure if that’s how it tastes to other people though. Either way, I love them!
